What is the difference between a PC -Based and a Standalone DVR?
A PC-based DVR is basically a personal computer that has been modified with hardware and software to work as a DVR. A standalone DVR is a machine that has been manufactured specifically to work as a DVR.

How does motion work with the DVR systems?
Motion detected recording is a feature on DVR recorders. The DVR monitors camera images and decides when it thinks there is movement. To do this the DVR looks at individual image frames and compares them to the previous one. If it sees differences then motion is assumed to have taken place.

Can I add extra cameras to my CCTV kit?
Yes, you may add more cameras to your CCTV kit at additional costs as long as you have not used all the ports from your DVR.

Can I access my DVR from another location?
Yes, you can your standalone DVR using the XMEYE app and PC -Based DVR using AVer iViewer HD app .

What is a CCTV POS Overlay Text Inserter?
A CCTV POS Overlay Text Inserter is installed with CCTV security cameras(Analog/HD analog/IP CCTV cameras), as well as a POS system, or cash register, to record the transaction texts which are inserted into the security camera video for living, monitoring, and recording. In other words, a text inserter captures cash receipt transaction data onto live video with the cashier activities recorded on the surveillance systems.
